There was a time when the purchase of furniture was made through visits to specialized stores, exchanges with salespeople and a delivery of the chosen table and chairs some time later.
Now, the delegation to consumers is almost complete: the purchase of a kit from a distance, via a website, the choice of delivery, the assembly are carried out without any human supporting these choices. But the price to pay for this delegation is well known: the notice so universal that it favours graphic design over words is in practice so complex to implement.
As we open the cardboard box containing the well-ordered pieces, while attention is focused on the search for the few explanatory sheets, twelve words written in French catch the eye. They inform us that, although in our domestic space, we are not alone: the counsellor is at our side again. At least if in addition to the hammer and the cross-head screwdriver, we have a mobile phone with an integrated camera and network access.
